During November 2024, Romain Chibois enhanced the C++ build system for the cucumber/gherkin repository by implementing version propagation across CMakeFiles.txt and introducing generic ABI versioning support. This work improved build reproducibility and enabled more reliable compatibility checks for downstream tooling. Romain updated the changelog to ensure that documentation and release processes accurately reflected these technical changes, providing clearer visibility into the build system’s evolution.
