Worked on the Icinga/icinga2 repository to enhance monitoring reliability by addressing expiry handling for problem acknowledgements. Focused on backend development using C++ and system administration skills, the work involved updating the logic so that both service and host acknowledgements now use the current time for expiry timestamps, ensuring accurate timing and reducing the risk of mis-timed acknowledgements. Additionally, contributed to project governance by updating contributor metadata in the AUTHORS file, improving recognition for new contributors. The changes delivered in June 2025 reflect a methodical approach to both technical accuracy and community management within the Icinga2 monitoring system.
