Clara developed end-to-end Managed Scan ID propagation for the semgrep/semgrep repository, focusing on enhancing SMS and SCM integration workflows. She implemented sms_scan_id tracking, transitioning the system to use SMS-specific identifiers and ensuring these IDs were transmitted consistently across the CLI, backend, and ScanHandler components. Using Python and applying backend development and DevOps skills, Clara enabled reliable traceability of scan requests, aligning the scanning process with managed workflows. Her work addressed the need for tighter integration and traceability between Semgrep’s managed scanning and source control systems, delivering a focused, well-scoped feature that improved the robustness of scan management.
