During March 2025, Glyph focused on maintaining CI workflow stability for the psf/black repository by addressing upcoming deprecations in the GitHub Actions environment. He updated the upload_binary.yml workflow to use the Ubuntu 22.04 runner, replacing the deprecated Ubuntu 20.04 image to ensure continued compatibility and reliability of automated builds. This change, implemented using YAML and leveraging CI/CD best practices, mitigated the risk of CI failures and maintained the project’s release cadence without disruption. Glyph’s work demonstrated a targeted approach to infrastructure maintenance, emphasizing traceability and alignment with evolving platform requirements while utilizing GitHub Actions for automation.
