During March 2025, Codesmith K enhanced the insertion flow user experience in the wikimedia/wikipedia-ios repository by delivering two targeted UI improvements. Leveraging Swift, UIKit, and iOS development skills, they pre-populated the InsertLinkViewController search bar with highlighted text when a link page value was present, streamlining the process of adding links. Additionally, they implemented robust keyboard visibility handling in InsertMediaSettingsViewController, dynamically adjusting table insets to prevent content from being obscured on small devices. These non-breaking changes focused on UI and UX stability, improving accessibility and reducing time-to-create for linked content. The work demonstrated thoughtful, incremental engineering within a focused scope.
