Developed the initial SimplyPrint Fleet Management feature for the alan-eu/activepieces repository, enabling centralized oversight and lifecycle management of 3D printer fleets. The solution introduced modular architecture and a robust API surface using Node.js and TypeScript, supporting printer control actions, queue management, file handling, filament tracking, and print history. This foundation allows for scalable fleet operations and improved asset utilization, addressing the need for streamlined throughput and traceability in 3D printing workflows. The work focused on extensibility and maintainability, laying the groundwork for future enhancements while ensuring that core 3D printing management capabilities are accessible through a unified interface.
