During January 2026, CoffeeImpliedCode contributed to the YaLTeR/niri repository by enhancing build provenance and release governance. They introduced a build metadata variable, NIRI_BUILD_COMMIT, within flake.nix using the Nix language and build system configuration skills. This addition enabled the embedding of the short Git commit revision directly into each build, improving traceability and versioning across releases. By linking the change to a specific commit, CoffeeImpliedCode ensured clear traceability for future development and release management.
