During November 2024, Cogeragh worked on the webex/webex-js-sdk repository, focusing on stabilizing presence updates by addressing a critical bug related to Do Not Disturb (DND) status handling. They modified the API integration logic in JavaScript and TypeScript to ensure the 'label' field is only included in requests when the status is not set to 'dnd', preventing API failures and maintaining accurate user presence. To reinforce reliability, Cogeragh added targeted unit tests that validate the new behavior and guard against regressions. This work improved the consistency of presence updates and contributed to a smoother user experience in Webex.
