Worked on the vllm-project/production-stack repository to enhance AWS EKS deployment flexibility by introducing dynamic cluster name configuration. Addressed the challenge of hardcoded cluster references by updating deployment scripts to utilize a CLUSTER_NAME variable, enabling environment-agnostic deployments and simplifying multi-environment management. Revised accompanying tutorials to demonstrate variable-driven deployment processes, ensuring consistency and ease of adoption across different environments. The work leveraged skills in AWS, AWS EKS, and DevOps, with implementation primarily in Shell scripting. This focused feature improved the maintainability and scalability of deployment workflows, allowing teams to adapt infrastructure configurations without modifying core deployment logic.
