
Contributed to TheGiraffe3/endless-sky by delivering two targeted gameplay features focused on AI and resource discovery. Developed an AI afterburner engagement improvement in C++, enabling non-player characters to activate afterburners when engaging distant targets, which introduced earlier and more tactical combat maneuvers. Additionally, implemented a map minables revelation feature by adding a map-minable attribute to outfits and updating the mapping logic, allowing players to identify and utilize minable resources during exploration. The work demonstrated skills in AI programming, feature implementation, and game development, with a focus on enhancing both combat dynamics and exploration depth within the game’s codebase.
