Witalis developed an SSH authentication feature for on-premises repositories within the netdata/learn platform, focusing on secure integration of private codebases. By designing a GitHub Actions workflow step that configures an SSH agent, Witalis enabled the ingestion process to authenticate with private repositories using SSH keys. This approach streamlined the onboarding of on-premises codebases while enhancing security through key-based access and secret management. The work demonstrated practical application of CI/CD principles, GitHub Actions, and YAML for workflow configuration. Over the course of the month, Witalis delivered a targeted feature that expanded repository coverage without addressing bug fixes, reflecting focused engineering depth.
