In December 2016, Coolstar developed and integrated the Extended File System Driver Suite for the Dasharo/edk2 repository, enabling native read and write support for EXT2, EXT4, exFAT, NTFS, and ISO9660 filesystems. Working primarily in C and Assembly, Coolstar focused on UEFI driver development and filesystem implementation to expand storage compatibility across platforms. This work reduced dependency on external drivers and improved out-of-the-box usability for Dasharo/edk2 builds. The solution was delivered as a focused, traceable commit, demonstrating depth in kernel-level engineering and maintainability, while directly addressing the need for broader device and build support within the project.
