During August 2025, Shelo focused on refining Spanish translations for the quarto-dev/quarto-cli repository, targeting both the core and CLI components. Using YAML and leveraging skills in internationalization and localization, Shelo systematically improved the natural language flow of Spanish text, reducing machine-like phrasing and enhancing clarity for Spanish-speaking users. The work involved targeted translation corrections and cross-module consistency improvements, ensuring that terminology and phrasing remained uniform throughout the project. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the primary engineering effort centered on translation quality, laying the groundwork for ongoing localization maintenance and a more accessible user experience across the platform.
