Worked on the microsoft/vscode-python repository to enhance the user interface for Python environment selection in Visual Studio Code. Focused on front end development and UI/UX improvement, the contribution involved refining how virtual environment names are displayed by removing unnecessary single quotes from interpreter names in both the list and status bar. This change, implemented using TypeScript and the VS Code extension API, addressed inconsistencies that previously caused confusion during environment selection. The update resulted in a cleaner, more standardized presentation of environment names, streamlining the workflow for developers and reducing ambiguity when configuring Python interpreters within the extension.
