Worked on the multiversx/mx-sdk-rs repository to enhance the developer experience during debugger installation by improving error handling for malformed VSCode settings.json files. Focused on configuration management and error handling using Rust, the solution surfaces explicit line and column numbers for JSON parsing errors, enabling users to quickly identify and resolve issues such as trailing commas or incomplete edits. By providing actionable feedback and clearer panic messages, the changes reduced time-to-resolve configuration problems and streamlined onboarding for new users. The work maintained alignment with project standards and contributed to a more robust and reliable setup process for mx-sdk-rs users.
