Worked on the th-ch/youtube-music repository to deliver full Portuguese (Brazil) localization for HTTPS settings and status display, enhancing accessibility for PT-BR users. Leveraged front end development skills and i18n best practices to achieve 100% translation coverage, translating 463 strings using JSON and the Weblate platform. Established a centralized translation workflow and resource URL to streamline future localization updates. The work aligned with the product’s localization roadmap, ensuring a native user experience and stable release readiness. No high-severity bugs were reported, reflecting careful implementation and testing. This contribution expanded the application’s reach and reduced friction for Portuguese-speaking users.
