During August 2025, Samyama Chatterjee developed a Firebase Storage BasePath configuration for bundle storage in the gronxb/hot-updater repository. This work introduced targeted storage locations by enabling basePath configuration within the firebaseStorage plugin, addressing deployment flexibility and environment isolation for bundles. Samyama refactored the key generation logic to be path-aware and updated the storageUri to accurately reflect new storage locations, laying the groundwork for scalable storage management. The feature was released as part of v0.18.0+, demonstrating backend development skills with TypeScript, Node.js, and Firebase. No major bugs were fixed, but the engineering depth improved future deployment workflows.
