During February 2026, Christian Seelus developed the PlainTasks extension for the zed-industries/extensions repository, focusing on enhancing todo list management within the editor. Leveraging extension development skills and the TOML language, Christian implemented syntax highlighting for .todo, .tasks, and .taskpaper files, and integrated interactive task management using the Language Server Protocol. The extension introduced features such as code actions for toggling task states with automatic timestamping, @ tag completion, project outline support, and color-coded priority tagging. This work improved task visibility and organization for users, demonstrating depth in both language tooling and workflow automation, though it addressed only new feature delivery.
