During October 2025, Sztegi contributed to the apache/paimon repository by upgrading the Apache Parquet dependency from version 1.15.1 to 1.15.2 across all paimon-format modules. This work involved careful dependency management and updates to project build tools, ensuring compatibility and compliance by also revising the NOTICE file to reflect the new library version. Working primarily with Java, Sztegi focused on maintaining the integrity of the build process while addressing evolving third-party requirements. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, the update supported ongoing project stability and security, demonstrating attention to detail in dependency and build tool management.
