Worked on enhancing the lfnovo/open-notebook repository by delivering OpenAI integration readiness focused on configuration and deployment flexibility. Developed a system to allow the OpenAI API base URL to be specified via a .env.example file, supporting environment-specific endpoints and enabling seamless multi-environment deployments. Integrated httpx with SOCKS proxy support into the project’s dependency management, facilitating proxy-based networking for OpenAI API calls. Updated the PyProject.toml to reflect these new dependencies and configuration capabilities. The work centered on configuration management and dependency management using TOML and env files, laying the foundation for enterprise networking and adaptable deployment scenarios.
