Worked on the traefik/traefik-helm-chart repository to improve deployment reliability in Kubernetes environments by addressing namespace handling for Traefik Gateway installations. Focused on Helm chart development using YAML, the work ensured that the gateway.namespace value is correctly respected or defaults appropriately, preventing accidental deployments to unintended namespaces. Added automated tests to verify that Gateways are installed in the specified namespace, which supports multi-tenant scenarios and enhances namespace isolation. This fix reduced support risks and streamlined customer onboarding by making deployments more predictable. The approach emphasized robust configuration management and test-driven validation, leveraging Helm and Kubernetes best practices throughout the process.
