During April 2025, Sandoll worked on the google/fonts repository to deliver a comprehensive font branding update, renaming 42dotSans to AstaSans across all metadata, font files, and documentation. Using configuration management and file renaming skills, Sandoll ensured that the update preserved the original design specifications and font metrics, maintaining technical consistency throughout the repository. The work, implemented with HTML and protobuf, improved branding alignment and repository hygiene, making future updates and searches more straightforward. By focusing on a single, well-scoped feature with minimal risk, Sandoll demonstrated a methodical approach that enhanced maintainability without introducing bugs or altering rendering behavior.
