Worked on the Checkmarx/ast-jetbrains-plugin repository to enhance cross-platform configuration management by addressing a bug in MCP configuration path resolution. Focused on improving compatibility for macOS and Linux environments, the solution aligned path handling with XDG base directory conventions and provided a robust fallback to the standard configuration directory. This Java-based fix reduced platform-specific errors during startup and configuration loading, resulting in smoother onboarding for users outside Windows. Leveraging skills in configuration management and cross-platform development, the work improved maintainability and portability while decreasing support requests related to configuration paths, ultimately contributing to a more reliable user experience.
