During February 2025, Cxed developed and released a new Fire Fuel Characteristics dataset for the ecmwf-projects/cads-messages repository, focusing on improving fire risk assessment workflows. By linking vegetation changes directly to fire danger metrics, Cxed enabled more accurate and actionable risk evaluations. The work involved extensive documentation management and the use of Markdown to ensure that site content remained clear and maintainable. Cxed also performed a thorough cleanup of legacy markdown files, removing deprecated content to streamline future updates. The scope of work was focused and well-defined, addressing a specific feature need with careful attention to documentation quality and maintainability.
