Worked on the projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates repository to enhance security detection for iOS Firebase applications by developing a new YAML template. This template was designed to identify exposures of the GoogleService-Info.plist file through a GET request matcher, enabling automated detection of publicly accessible configuration files. The implementation included clear remediation guidance to streamline the process of addressing identified risks. Leveraging skills in configuration management and security auditing, the work expanded the scanning coverage within Nuclei templates. By focusing on YAML-based automation, the contribution improved both the speed and effectiveness of detecting and remediating Firebase configuration data exposures.
