During October 2024, Chia-Yu Chi focused on maintaining UI correctness for payment status in the artsy/force repository. By reverting a backend-driven approach and reinstating the frontend isPaymentSet utility, Chia-Yu ensured the user interface accurately reflected whether an order had a payment method configured. This decision aligned frontend behavior with business rules and reduced the risk of edge-case errors. Working primarily with React, Relay, JavaScript, and TypeScript, Chia-Yu’s fix improved cross-team alignment on payment state handling and provided clear traceability through documented commits. The work demonstrated careful attention to stability and maintainability, prioritizing reliable user experience over introducing new logic.
