During July 2025, the_7020_journal@protonmail.com integrated the bevdet_vendor external package into the autowarefoundation/autoware repository, enabling BEV object detection through the autoware_tensorrt_bevdet pipeline. This work focused on system integration and dependency management, using YAML to update autoware.repos and ensure seamless inclusion of the new package. By applying a targeted patch, they established the foundation for enhanced perception capabilities in autonomous driving, specifically improving BEV-based detection. The project required careful coordination of external dependencies and a solid understanding of TensorRT-based inference workflows, demonstrating depth in managing complex integrations within a large-scale, production-grade autonomous vehicle software stack.
