Worked on optimizing the CI/CD pipeline for the SocialFinanceDigitalLabs/liia-tools-pipeline repository by upgrading the GitHub Actions cache action from version 2 to version 4. This update leveraged the latest caching mechanisms to improve dependency caching, resulting in faster CI runtimes and reduced compute usage. The approach focused on enhancing workflow reliability while maintaining backward compatibility, ensuring a smooth transition without introducing instability. The work was implemented using YAML and demonstrated proficiency with CI/CD concepts and GitHub Actions tooling. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting careful planning and execution in delivering measurable improvements to the pipeline’s performance.
