Worked on the NixOS/nixos-search repository to enhance mobile layout responsiveness and navigation for the frontend. Focused on improving user experience across devices by implementing targeted CSS media queries and SCSS to adjust search results presentation on small screens. Addressed layout overflow and navigation issues by expanding the sidebar to full width on narrow viewports, ensuring accessibility and layout stability. The approach emphasized mobile-first design principles and responsive front end development, resulting in smoother search interactions for mobile users. This work delivered a measurable improvement in usability, supporting a consistent and accessible experience for users navigating the search interface on various devices.
