In January 2025, D. Partner developed a Mock API module for the anzalean/water-tracker-frontend repository, focusing on decoupling frontend development from backend dependencies. Using JavaScript and frontend development skills, they designed and implemented fakeApi.js to simulate API responses for user and water data, enabling deterministic and reliable UI testing. The approach included crafting realistic mock data structures and utilities such as artificial delays to mirror real API behavior, which improved test coverage and reduced flaky tests. This work established a robust foundation for local development and continuous integration, allowing for faster iteration and more consistent data across UI components.
