Worked on the uutils/coreutils-l10n repository to enhance localization by delivering Simplified Chinese translations for command descriptions across 16 coreutils commands. Focused exclusively on improving accessibility and localization readiness, the work involved per-command translation updates without altering command functionality. Leveraged skills in internationalization, localization engineering, and git-based incremental delivery to ensure each translation was traceable and reviewable through separate commits. Utilized Freemarker templates and ftl files to manage localization strings, collaborating within established translation workflows. These efforts strengthened support for Chinese-speaking users and improved downstream CI and localization pipelines, demonstrating disciplined, detail-oriented engineering within a focused project scope.
