During January 2025, Adetayo worked on the influxdata/official-images repository, focusing on improving metadata accuracy and build provenance for official Amazon Linux 2 and Amazon Linux 2023 images. By updating release tags and commit hashes to match the latest builds, Adetayo ensured that the repository consistently reflected current package versions, reducing metadata drift and enhancing security. This work, primarily using Shell scripting and leveraging skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and Linux administration, improved downstream reproducibility for customers. The update addressed a key bug, demonstrating attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining reliable, up-to-date official images for production environments.
