Worked on the influxdata/official-images repository to enhance metadata accuracy and build provenance for official Amazon Linux 2 and Amazon Linux 2023 images. Focused on aligning release tags and commit hashes with the latest upstream builds, this effort reduced metadata drift and ensured that official images reflected current package versions. By updating metadata and synchronizing build information, the work improved security and reproducibility for downstream users. Leveraged skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and Linux administration, utilizing Shell scripting to automate updates and maintain consistency across releases. The changes addressed a key bug, strengthening the reliability of official image distribution processes.
