During a two-month period, David Fivaz enhanced observability and configurability in Kubernetes environments through targeted feature development. In the grafana/grafana-operator repository, he built an Operator Metrics Grafana Dashboard, integrating Helm chart support and a Kubernetes ConfigMap to streamline deployment and runtime updates. This work improved operator health monitoring and facilitated faster issue detection. In the bitnami/charts repository, David added support for passing extra environment variables to the etcd defrag cronjob, increasing flexibility for operators managing maintenance tasks.
