During October 2025, Dan Elifmuk enhanced the cypht-org/cypht repository by implementing TLS 1.3 support in the core module, focusing on backend development and network security using PHP. He updated the stream crypto path to enable TLS 1.3 when available, addressing compatibility issues with modern mail servers that enforce the latest security protocols. This work improved the reliability of mail delivery and reduced user-reported handshake failures, aligning the project with current security standards. Dan’s contribution demonstrated a targeted approach to protocol compatibility, resulting in smoother onboarding for TLS 1.3-enabled environments and strengthening the project’s overall security posture.
