During August 2025, Dani focused on enhancing the docker/mcp-gateway repository by delivering two targeted features centered on security and user experience. Dani implemented a per-server tool enablement configuration system in Go, allowing granular control over which tools are exposed on each server through server-specific configuration files, with safe defaults to ensure secure operation. Additionally, Dani updated the client’s UI branding from Gordon to Ask Gordon, improving user-facing clarity and consistency. The work emphasized maintainability and scalability, leveraging backend development and configuration management skills to lay a foundation for more robust governance and a more intuitive user experience moving forward.
