During July 2025, Daniel Rustad focused on backend development for the Altinn/altinn-studio repository, addressing a critical issue in the application onboarding flow. He identified and fixed a bug where applications were registered using directory names rather than their unique application IDs, which previously risked misregistration and data inconsistencies. By refactoring the onboarding logic in C#, Daniel ensured that new applications are now added based on their unique identifiers, enhancing data integrity and reliability across environments. This targeted bug fix did not introduce new features but strengthened the core system, laying a more robust foundation for future enhancements and safer deployments.
