Developed comprehensive UNDROP command support for Snowflake within the tobymao/sqlglot repository, enabling restoration of various Snowflake object types through robust SQL parsing and generation. Leveraged Python and SQL expertise to implement parsing logic, tokenization, and dialect mappings, introducing a dedicated Undrop expression class for full DDL support. Expanded test coverage with targeted scenarios to ensure reliability across 12 UNDROP variants, including both single-word and multi-word object types. This work enhanced backend parser development and testing practices, streamlining time travel automation and reducing manual scripting for Snowflake users, while improving compatibility and maintainability within the repository’s Snowflake dialect integration.
