Dan Markelder developed and delivered the configuration and metadata for the new 'Claim Child Benefit' service within the hmrc/accessibility-statement-frontend repository. Focusing on configuration management using YAML, Dan established standardized service metadata, including English and Welsh descriptions, URLs, and compliance data, to enhance discoverability and ensure alignment with accessibility standards. The work was completed in a single commit, streamlining onboarding for future services and reducing ongoing maintenance requirements. Although the project scope was limited to one feature over a one-month period, the implementation demonstrated careful attention to maintainability and compliance, with no major bugs reported during the development cycle.
