During July 2025, Refurbish959 enhanced the helix-editor/helix repository by delivering a UI theming feature focused on the JetBrains dark theme. They introduced a distinct primary selection color, improving visual clarity and theme consistency for users. This work involved defining a new color token, blue214, and adding a configurable ui.selection.primary option, allowing for greater customization. Using TOML for configuration management and theme customization, Refurbish959 ensured that the new selection color integrates seamlessly with existing theme structures. While the scope was limited to a single feature and did not include bug fixes, the contribution addressed a clear usability need for theme editors.
