Worked on the systemd/systemd repository to improve reliability and compatibility in bootloader configuration. Focused on a targeted bug fix in C, addressing boot entry parsing by ensuring the boot counter was stripped from entry IDs. This change aligned the parsing logic with bootctl’s expectations, preventing misidentification of boot entries and enhancing downstream tooling stability. No new user-facing features were introduced during this period, as the primary goal was to reduce operational risk and maintain upstream compatibility. The work demonstrated attention to detail in system programming, emphasizing correctness and robust integration with existing boot management tools rather than expanding feature scope.
