Worked on integrating FedNow payment capabilities into the moovfinancial/moov-go repository, focusing on backend development and data modeling using Go. Developed the FedNowInstitution struct and associated services within institutions_models.go, enabling institutions to process FedNow payments directly through the search response. Extended the data model to support properties for receiving, sending, and requesting payments via FedNow, ensuring comprehensive support for new payment flows. Applied targeted commits to address missing properties and maintain data consistency. The work enhanced the business value of the institutions module by supporting real-time payment processing, demonstrating a methodical approach to feature delivery and model extension.
