Worked on the ash-project/ash repository to enhance core data handling by implementing decimal generator improvements that enforce scale and precision constraints. Applied Elixir and database management skills to refactor number manipulation logic, increasing reliability and maintainability. Addressed a key bug by ensuring upsert operations in the DataLayer include identity keys, which improved SQL generation and data integrity. Expanded test coverage to validate generator constraints and edge cases, using a test-driven development approach. The work focused on strengthening data correctness, reducing edge-case failures, and making targeted refactors to support long-term reliability in backend systems and database operations.
