Contributed to the zed-industries/zed repository by enhancing file identification and navigation for Ballerina projects through the addition of a dedicated Ballerina (.bal) file icon. The work involved designing and integrating a new SVG asset, updating icon mappings, and ensuring the icon adhered to existing iconography standards for a consistent user interface. Validation included release-style builds using Rust and thorough UI checks to maintain alphabetical ordering and visual consistency in the project panel and tabs. This feature improved developer experience by enabling immediate visual recognition of Ballerina files, leveraging skills in iconography, UI design, and Rust for seamless onboarding.
