Worked on improving the stability and reliability of dbt Compare Results within the dbt-labs/dbt-core repository, focusing on backend development using Rust. Addressed a bug that affected the handling of empty results, ensuring that macros load correctly in embedded mode and that error results are properly included in the output. Enhanced the robustness of the feature by adding comprehensive regression tests to prevent the recurrence of previous filtering issues. Maintained codebase hygiene by reverting earlier changes that reduced result visibility, and validated all updates through continuous integration and cross-team code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability of the backend system.
