Worked on Automattic/wp-calypso to deliver an SEO enhancement targeting plugin browse pages. Addressed the issue of low-quality tag pages being indexed by implementing a noindex directive for uncurated terms, while ensuring curated categories remained indexable through case-insensitive matching against an allowed list. This approach reduced indexing noise from approximately 49,000 thin tag pages, improving crawl efficiency and strengthening site quality signals in Google Search Console. The solution was delivered as a focused code change with collaborative input, utilizing JavaScript, Node, and React for front end development. The work demonstrated attention to both technical detail and SEO best practices.
