During July 2025, Dawson Dai focused on stabilizing and securing the Skyscanner/backpack repository by addressing a critical security vulnerability. He upgraded the @skyscanner/stylelint-config-skyscanner dependency, updating both package.json and package-lock.json to ensure build integrity and maintain the project’s security posture. Alongside this, Dawson applied a targeted SCSS adjustment to the Segmented Control component, refining its visual alignment and ensuring consistency with the design system. His work centered on dependency management and security patching, with no new features introduced, reflecting a depth of attention to maintaining UI reliability and protecting users through careful, detail-oriented engineering in the project’s codebase.
