During April 2025, Dan Bastedo focused on maintaining the accuracy of the Visiting Portland guide within the writethedocs/www repository. He identified and removed an outdated restaurant entry, ensuring the guide reflected current information and reduced potential confusion for users. Dan approached this task with a focus on data integrity, using Markdown for content updates and applying content management best practices to streamline the change. The update was linked to an existing issue and managed as a single, reviewable patch, demonstrating attention to traceability and lightweight change management. This work contributed to improved search relevance and a more reliable user experience.
