Worked on modernizing build systems for the neovim and tree-sitter repositories by upgrading Zig-based tooling and refining build configuration processes. Focused on aligning release versioning and API prerelease status in neovim to match the latest release cycles, while in tree-sitter, upgraded the build template to Zig 0.16 to improve threading and dependency management. Consolidated these improvements across core repositories, reducing release friction and enhancing build reliability. Utilized Zig programming, build system configuration, and version control to streamline dependency handling and set the foundation for more predictable, efficient releases. Delivered two features in one month, emphasizing robust build workflows.
