During December 2024, Davis focused on stabilizing the test suite for the spacetelescope/romancal repository by addressing regression test failures related to skycell association JSON outputs. He updated the regression test expectations to match the actual generated filenames, ensuring that the test suite accurately validated skycell generation output and reducing the occurrence of flaky CI failures. Working primarily in Python and leveraging skills in regression testing and test maintenance, Davis’s targeted fix improved the reliability and maintainability of the codebase. This work enabled safer future changes to skycell-related code and contributed to the overall release readiness of the romancal project.
