Worked on the openclaw/openclaw repository to enhance API reliability by refining backend error handling in TypeScript. Focused on distinguishing Groq’s Tokens Per Minute (TPM) rate limits from context overflow errors, the work involved updating error pattern matching logic to ensure TPM-related messages were consistently classified as rate limits. This targeted bug fix improved the accuracy of error reporting and reduced misclassification, which in turn streamlined downstream API processing for client integrations. By leveraging skills in API integration and backend development, the changes reduced triage time and contributed to a smoother client experience and more robust automation workflows.
